A Square of Silence exists as a space where stilln A Square of Silence exists as a space where stillness is not emptiness, but a field of quiet intensity. Within the fixed boundaries of the square, nine artists engage with silence as a form of presence, shaped by memory, politics, nature, and introspection. Each work holds its own pause: some charged with histories and power, others rooted in breath, light, and fleeting moments. Together, they suggest that silence is not the absence of meaning, but the condition through which it gathers, deepens, and endures. 'Unseen Memories, ii' Etched Brass plate installe 'Unseen Memories, ii' Etched Brass plate installed on a dysfunctional vintage Wheeling Machine (It's used for shaping sheet metal into smooth, curved surfaces). Size variable 2025 . This brass plate etching is installed on a vintage woodworking machine from the Mayo School of Art. The piece reflects on the institution’s longstanding role in shaping generations of artists. The Mughal king appears again here as a playful reminder of how the school cultivates leadership, while the worn machine beneath it stands in for the institution itself.
